Mr. President Dr. Bashar Al-Assad received today, Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, Foreign Minister of Spain.
They discussed current developments in the region and the results of Spain’s presidency of the European Union and preparations for the summit of Heads of State of the Mediterranean to be held in Barcelona next month.
Also talk about the distinguished bilateral relations between Syria and Spain and ways to develop and activate within the framework of Syria’s relations with the wider European Union, where he Moratinos Union’s desire to sign the Syrian-European partnership agreement soon.

Mr. President Dr. Bashar Al-Assad and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev visited the Church of Ananias in Old Damascus.
Presidents toured throughout the Church and listened from their agents to explain history about the phases of the church since its construction by more than two thousand years.
The Church of Ananias, one of the oldest churches in the world and return to the era Romania.

Where views were identical on both sides about the various issues that were discussed during the meeting.
